Fantastic staff. The front desk lady's are extremely friendly and helpful. I will recommend this hotel to everyone price is more than fair for location very nice and clean room
EDIT: The owner was right there are some rooms with A/C and I after they gladly accepted my request to move to one of these rooms I have upgraded my rating. THE GOOD: - Location - Free parking - Rooms look brand new - Good customer service - Recently restored (60%) AREAS OF OPORTUNITY: - A/C on some rooms and ceiling fan on others (you can ask for either one if available). - Add room service. - Add phone/intherphone service. - Add ice dispensers for free or sale - Add fridge/frigo-bar on room - Improve internet signal and speed. - Bed is too stiff - Add towels on the rooms NOTES: - At the time of review the hotel is still having renovations done throughout the day, some noise might be heard for some guests and it is understandable. - The layout is odd, and need to walk quite some steps to get to some rooms.
It’s actually a very nice hotel, I would suggest getting a room with A/C.
My partner and I booked a basic double room for 10 days. Overall, I’d say with this hotel, the price for what we got was reasonable. The service from staff was great, we couldn’t really ask for better (24h reception with snacks/drinks available was super useful), though it’s worth noting, the staff don’t speak any English, so you’ll need to brush up on your Spanish before staying here. The surrounding locale felt a little unsafe at night time, but really comes alive during the day with local flea market style stores everywhere—my advice would be to get Uber/Taxi directly to the hotel if you’re travelling at night time in this area. The convenience of being within walking distance to many great spots made this trade off worth it for us (but single women travellers might feel differently about this). The more disappointing part of our stay was the room itself—we didn’t have any windows (except for a small one in the bathroom for ventilation), which made the room a little stuffy and claustrophobic. Our shower was also quite bad, very little water pressure and the water sprayed everywhere because the shower head had a lot of limescale buildup. Our mattress was also too firm (though this is a personal preference, my partner didn’t seem to mind it), and you only get bed sheets (no proper blanket)—though this ended up being a good thing for us since it was overall very warm during our stay. There was also a renovation happening so things got a little loud at daytimes. All that being said, our room was reasonably comfortable and safe to sleep and keep our stuff in. We had a good time during our stay here, and the small family cafe attached to the hotel also has lovely service and good food, local people would frequently come by and get food to go (which tells you the food is pretty good).
